Welcome to In Another Era, my historical fiction book blog! My name is Annelies and I’m a twenty-something from Belgium.
I love to read historical fiction and I am fascinated by medieval Europe, especially stories about England, Italy, France and Russia. My favorite authors include Elizabeth Fremantle, Sarah Dunant, Bernard Cornwell and Tatiana De Rosnay. Occasionally I’ll pick up a non-fiction book about history, but dreaming away with dramatic, romantic or action-packed storylines about past hero(ine)s is more exciting, isn’t it?
History tells us what people do; historical fiction helps us imagine how they felt.
